Welcome to your first mission! These missions are designed to teach you core elements of Method functionality.

When customizing Method, you can:

  • Create a new app from scratch.

  • Customize an existing stock app.

Throughout this whole series, you will learn how to create an app from scratch to give you the best foundational knowledge of how customization works in Method.

What you'll learn

Once you complete the first mission, you will know how to:

  • Create a custom table

  • Add fields to custom tables

  • Add a drop down field and create a relationship between two tables

  • Create a linked field

You will also be able to:

  • Differentiate between field types

  • Understand the relationship between linked fields and drop down fields

The Scenario

Valerie is a small business owner who maintains a fleet of cars for her company, We Drive Stuff, Inc.  Valerie needs a way to keep track of the vehicles and the drivers, as well as several other pieces of information, and she wants to build a custom app in Method to do it.  The ultimate goal of these missions will be to build and customize this app for We Drive Stuff, Inc
