The sync status is displayed in the header for any record that syncs to your accounting software (QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or Xero). These records can be any accounting record: transactions, customers, items, terms, etc.
NOTE: The sync status does not support real-time updates for now; it will only update upon a screen refresh.
The sync status can have one of the following states:
Synced: The record has been successfully synced with the connected accounting platform. For example:
An invoice created in Method is available in accounting system.
A customer record updated in Method is reflected in the accounting system.
Pending Sync Approval: The
Wait for Sync Approval checkbox is checked for the particular record. The record has not synced to the accounting system.
Sync Conflict: There is a conflict preventing the record from syncing successfully. Administrator users can check what the conflict is on the Sync Conflicts page.
Not Ready for Sync: The sync is disconnected. Any new updates to the record will not sync.
There are a few instances where the sync status will not show on an accounting record:
For QuickBooks Desktop, you can set the transaction history to only sync current records in the QuickBooks Desktop Sync Preferences. Records that do not fall in the set range will not show a sync status.
For users with a slow internet connect, the sync status may not show immediately.
