Banner Component

The properties for the banner component in the Method App Builder.

The banner component is a dismissible info banner with a customizable icon, title, message text, and an optional action button.

Selecting the banner component shows its configurable properties.

Display

Show icon

Display an icon. This icon is not customizable, but changes depending on the color theme.

Show title

Display a bolded title for the banner. When enabled, an input box appears to enter in title text.

Show body text

Display custom text. When enabled, an input box appears to enter in body text.

Color theme

Different themes have different colors with specific icons:

  • Error: Red theme with white 'i' in a blue circle icon.

  • Warning: Yellow theme with a white exclamation mark in a yellow triangle icon.

  • Success: Green theme with a white 'i' in a blue circle icon.

  • Informational: A blue theme with white i in a grey circle icon.

  • Note: Grey theme with a white i in a grey circle icon.

Default state

  • Regular: Component displays normally.

  • Hidden: Component is not visible.

  • Disabled: Component is greyed-out.

  • Read Only: Component's styling is removed. This includes all color, bolding, icons, and text alignment.

Interactions

Dismissable

Display an 'x' in the upper right corner of the banner which will temporarily hide it.

Action button

Display a button. When enabled, an input box appears to enter in button text, and the Click event is available to customize.

Events

(only displayed when Action button enabled)

Click

Event triggered when user clicks the action button.

Behavior with Other Actions

When the banner is targeted by an Update Control on Screen Action, only the body text can be updated.
