Managing Method Job Types

Job Types allow you to categorize Jobs. Learn how to add your own.

Method Jobs allow you to categorize its job type. By default, the following job types are available for Method Jobs:

  • Repair

  • Install

  • Maintenance

Job Types control how Jobs are classified but do not impact scheduling or billing logic.


Managing Job Types

You can manage Job Types directly from the Job screen.

  1. Open an existing Job or create a new Job.

  2. Click Edit (if viewing an existing Job).

  3. Scroll down and open the Job type dropdown. Select Manage job types.

You will be redirected to the Job Types List screen.

The Job Types List screen displays all Job Types on the account. Here you can create and edit Method Job Types.

πŸ“Œ Note: The three default job types:

  • Cannot be renamed nor deleted.

  • Can be set to inactive.

  • Continue displaying on existing Method Jobs even if made inactive.

Create a new job type

  1. Click βŠ• New job type to open the New/Edit Job Type modal.

  2. Enter:

    • Job type name

    • Active status (No/Yes)

  3. Click Save.


Edit a job type

  1. Click an existing Job Type in the grid.

  2. The New/Edit modal opens with fields pre-filled.

  3. Modify:

    • Job Type name (if not a default type)

    • Active status

  4. Click Save.
