How to list and create work orders while using Outlook

The Outlook Email Gadget is a free Outlook Add-in that exposes Method screens inside the user’s Outlook email client (web and desktop). This means you will have access to Method data from within your Outlook inbox.

With the Outlook Email Gadget, you can create work orders for your customers who send you email.

If you do not see the prompt immediately, click the [] icon to display a dropdown and choose Work Orders.

From there, you will find any work orders this customer has, and edit them within the Outlook Email Gadget.

Using the Outlook Email Gadget, the following work order features are available for the contact when viewing their email:

  • List of work orders related to contact

  • Create a new work order (You will be only be able to insert one line item)

  • View and edit details of an existing work order

  • Add / Edit line items

  • Print work order
