Onboarding - Explore the App Ribbons

To help you learn Method, let's look at App Ribbons

Updated over a week ago

Your customer lead will have a number of interactions and transactions that will eventually be associated with it. These will show up in the App Ribbons, the large section with tabs at the top.

Since this lead is newly created, there will be no records to display. However, any new activity you create, any new estimate, transaction, etc., those will show up in these App Ribbons.

The below example image shows a lead with a few activities and transactions. Selecting each tab will show a list of records that belong to that tag.

Furthermore, after selecting an app ribbon, you can select a record within the grid to view or edit that record.

If an particular App Ribbon is not visible, click the More ▼ link to show a dropdown of other App Ribbons available to you.

NOTE: App Ribbon availability is dependent on the App Permissions the user has. If a user does not have access to an App on their dashboard, it will not show up on the App Ribbon.

Personalizing your App Ribbons

Depending on your daily workflow, you can personalize which app ribbons show in the App Ribbons panel, as well as the order they show up in.

You can click and drag an individual tab to move it to a new location.

For more control, you can click the App Ribbons setting icon to the right of the tabs to open up a side panel.

Here you can hide and move app ribbons.

App Ribbons in Other Apps

Note that App Ribbons are not only found in the Contacts app, they can be found in other apps, for example, the transaction apps. Furthermore, App Ribbons in other apps tend to be in its minimized form, taking up a smaller portion of the screen. The below image shows the App Ribbons in the Invoices app.

Selecting an app within the ribbon expands it to show the records, which you can select and view within the App Ribbons.

Again, as shown in the previous section, App Ribbons can be personalized by dragging and moving the app to change the order. You can also click the App Ribbons setting icon for further control.

Now that you are familiar with App Ribbons, let's dive into logging our interactions with our Contacts using the Activities App. Please see our next section, Onboarding - Create an Activity.
