HTML Editor component

The properties for the HTML Editor component in the Method App Builder.

The HTML editor component is a standard text editor.

Selecting the HTML editor component shows its configurable properties.

Data source

Please see "Data Source and Mapped Fields".

Display

Label

Text to identify the component.

Show label

Toggle the visibility of the label.

Default value

Initial value for the HTML editor. Options include:

  • Text (manually enter in a value)

  • Control (existing component)

  • Session (from session values)

  • None

Default state

The default state of the component (Regular/Hidden/Disabled).

Validation rules

Required

Component needs to be filled in before properly saving.

Max Length

Restrict the length of the text for the HTML editor.

Events

Change

Event triggered when user changes text.

On focus

Event triggers when component gains focus. (e.g. user tabs to or clicks in HTML input box).

Lose focus

Event triggers when component loses focus (eg. user tabs away or clicks on another component).
