Method's API can connect to an AI assistant, like Claude or ChatGPT, which can reach every table in your account, including the custom tables.
With this, you can ask questions like:
"Which invoices are more than 30 days overdue?"
"How much does ABC Plumbing owe us, and when did we last talk to them?"
"Which customers have open estimates but no activity in the last 60 days?"
"Analyze our sales efforts this quarter and show me our best closers."

Need answers without the ability to change anything? Our professional services team can build you a read-only connection. Your AI assistant answers and analyzes anything across your whole account, and that's all it can do: nothing gets created, changed or deleted.

Open read and write access across all your data
This is available today. An admin can create an API key in a few minutes and API access is currently available on all Method plans at no extra charge. From there you will need to configure your AI assistant to connect to this AI and then it can work the way you would: "Log a call with Dana. She wants a quote for the spring job."
⚠️ Caution: Connecting an AI assistant to your account works with your live data, not a practice copy. Anything it creates or changes goes into your books.
Deleting really means deleting, and there's no undo.
A new invoice syncs to QuickBooks on its own, exactly as if you'd typed it in yourself.
Every API key has full admin access. There's no limited or read-only version, so a key can do anything your admin can do. Treat it the way you'd treat your password.
If using the full read and write approach, start with questions. Ask things before you let anything write, and check a few records by hand the first time.
