The Kanban board component shows work items as cards arranged in columns, where each column is a stage in a process.
Kanban board properties
In the properties panel, there are a number of collapsible sections to configure the component:
Columns: Set up how columns will be chosen for the board.
Views: Set the filter views the component will have.
Display: Set the title, width, and state for the component.
Events: Set what actions occur when a user clicks or moves a card.
Card fields: Set what information is shown on the cards.
Interactions: Toggle further options available for the board.
These options will be discussed in the following sections.
Kanban Table
Table: Select the table which hold the records to display on the kanban board.
Group columns by: Columns in the kanban board are only defined by a field of type dropdown. Select a dropdown field from the selected table.
Columns
Displaying columns can be done based on criteria or manually selected.
Criteria based columns
If the field defining the columns have numerous options, you can base which columns will show based on criteria.
Column scope: Filter which records appear as columns. If left empty, all columns will show. For more information on how to create criteria, see Filter configurations.
Column order: Sort the order for how columns appear, left to right. If left empty, columns default to the order they were created.
Manual based columns
When manual is chosen, you can add and remove columns. The options shown are from the dropdown field chosen in Group columns by.
Views
Filter views allow you to restrict which records show up in the Kanban board. You can have multiple views, each with their own restrictions.
Add a view
Order: Click and drag to change the order of the filter views.
Default view: The default filter view for the grid.
View visibility: Whether or not the filter view is visible in the dropdown.
Show view selector: Whether or not the dropdown to choose a filter view is available. This will be default to hidden if there is only one filter to choose from.
Selecting a view in this section allows you to configure it.
Copy / Delete: These icons allow you to copy and delete a view.
Filter title: Set the title of the view in the Filter View dropdown.
Filter: Set the selection criteria for what records will be shown. For more information on how to create criteria, see Filter configurations.
Sorting: How the data is to be sorted within the view.
