A view filter usually appears in a dropdown in the upper left of a grid. It allows the user to choose what records will show up in the grid. To learn more about these filter views, please see our article on How Grids / Lists Work.
The Set View Filter action will set a control, usually a grid object, to a pre-defined view filter.
