Setting up GoDaddy as your email server

Normally, Method will send out email for you. However, if you'd prefer to have Method use GoDaddy to send email, this article will outline how to set up GoDaddy as your email server.

NOTE: All emails will appear to come from the associated inbox. If you would like a different address to appear as the reply-to, you'll need to set the sender server to be different from the account default.

  1. In Method, click your Profile icon in the upper-right and then click Account Settings.

  2. Scroll down until you find Connection. Select it to go to its settings.

  3. Within Email settings, for Email provider, select Setup my own custom server.

  4. A section called Custom servers will appear. Select Other.

  5. A pop up will show, with a dropdown for Other providers. Select GoDaddy.

  6. Enter in your email address and email password. Click the Test button to verify you entered the correct credentials. Once satisfied, click Add.

  7. The screen will be updated with your custom server information. At any point in time, click the pencil icon to edit your information.
