Normally, Method will send out email for you. However, if you'd prefer to have Method use Microsoft to send email, this article will outline how to set that up.
IMPORTANT: If you're seeing a warning about Microsoft OAuth authentication, you’re in the right place! To continue sending emails through Microsoft, simply follow the steps below to set up OAuth in Method. No changes are needed on your email server—everything can be configured directly within Method. If you encounter any issues during setup, please contact our support team for assistance.
Notes when using Microsoft as your custom email server:
Email sent from Method using the custom email server will not show up in the sent email box.
All emails will appear to come from the associated inbox. If you would like a different address to appear as the reply-to, you'll need to set the sender server to be different from the account default.
Microsoft Email Server Setup in Method
In Method, click your Profile icon in the upper-right and then click Account Settings.
Scroll down until you find Communication. Select it to go to its settings.
Within the Email settings, by the Email section, select Setup my own custom server.
This will show Customer server settings. Select Microsoft.
A new window will pop up and you will need to go through the normal authentication with Microsoft (which consists of more screens than shown below).
Once authenticated, the page will show that Microsoft is set up as your email provider.
Click Test and wait for on-screen confirmation.
