Edit & Send from a Transaction

Changing the email or SMS sent from a transaction.

When you email or SMS a transaction to your customer, whether it be an estimate, invoice, sales receipt, etc., you have the option to edit the communication before it gets sent out.

Clicking the button Edit details will take you to a new screen where you can edit the message, whether it be on email or SMS.


Edit & Send (Email)

On this screen, you will be able to change the following details for your email:

Parameter

Description

Send from

The email sending the email. Only allowed emails will appear in this dropdown.

Sender name

Name of the sender.

Send to

A dropdown showing a list of recipients to send to (excluding emails already being sent to). This dropdown is greyed out if all the customer's contacts with a valid email addresses are already being sent to.

Send to (grid)

List of recipients. Click remove to remove a recipient.

Add CC/BCC

Show the CC and BCC fields.

Email Template

Email template used for the email.

Email Subject

Subject for the email.

Email Body

Email body.

Attachments

File(s) to add to the email.

At the bottom of the screen, you have the option to Preview and Send the email.


Edit & Send (SMS)

On this screen, you will be able to change the following details for your SMS:

Send to

A dropdown showing a list of recipients to send to (excluding numbers already being sent to). This dropdown is greyed out if all the customer's contacts with valid email addresses are already being sent to.

Send to (grid)

List of recipients.

  • If the mobile number is missing or incorrect, you can edit it in the grid.

  • Click remove to remove a recipient.

SMS message

Message template to send with Merge Fields uncalculated.

SMS Preview

Final message being sent.

At the bottom of the screen, you have the option to Send the SMS.
